New Build Housing - Portugal

At first, it seemed counterintuitive, but for a site like this, taking a different approach made sense.

Set within a beautiful rural landscape, the priority was not to maximise the site, but to give the buildings space—to let them breathe and sit comfortably within their surroundings.
Natural materials, soft edges and the careful integration of the buildings into the existing embankment help establish a strong connection with the landscape, while creating a sense of permanence and belonging.
For me, the real value of the project lies not only in the quality of the spaces within the buildings, but in the spaces around and between them—the landscape, the courtyards and the moments of connection that make the whole composition work.
